This moring Layton Kendall Jaussi was born at 2:45am. He is a little bundle of joy. So small from what we thought he would be at 6lbs 12oz. 19 inches long. He has a big chest and shoulders which tore Kirsti. She was such a tropper. I was so proud of her. I love you Kirsti and Kendall. They will be such great parents. It brought so much emotion to me to hold this sweet little babe. Being a grandmother has been the most joy I have ever experienced. I love all 7 of these little ones so much. It's hard to see Cooper and Cordon get so big and not want loves from Grandma. Pictures are to come. I can't find the attachment to my cell phone to download the pictures I have.

All Zucchini Lovers
I like zucchini. I like zucchini bread and I have a yummy recipe for zucchini casserole that I decided to share. Let me know if you try it and what you think. I kind of made this up from another recipe I didn't like as well,
Zucchini Casserole
Rochelle Findlay
1 cup grated unpeeled zucchini
1 onion
Mix together: 8 oz sour cream
1 can cream chicken soup
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup shredded cheese
Then add zucchini mixture.
Mix 1 pkg stove top dressing with 1/2 cup melted butter.
Put 3/4 of the stuffing mix in bottom of 9x13 pan. Pour zucchini mixture over top and sprinkle remaining stuffing mix.
Bake 350 for 35 minutes.
Zucchini Bread
Aunt Vera's
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
2 eggs
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar use part brown sugar
2 cups grated peeled zucchini
3 t vanilla may use 1/4 t cloves and 1/2 t allspice
3 cups flour
1 t soda
1 t salt
1/4 t Baking Powder
3 t cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts
Bake in 2 tins greased bread pans
Substitutions I like to make:
1 cup of zucchini for 1 cup of carrots.
Use partial wheat flour.
Use applesauce to replace some of the oil
Use 1 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup Raw Agave Nectar (pure organic) and no white sugar. Just tried this and it was yummy.

CONGRAULATIONS TO BROCK
BROCK GRADUATES FROM POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY February 12, 2009 we attended the graduation for Brock and 37 other deserving men and women from all over Utah. Brock made us very proud as he sang the National Anthem with two other men to start the ceremony. They really sounded great. Brock was also awarded a special award for the best in the Firearms Training. He was also recognized in 90% or higher in the Fitness Training. He was able to receive his certificate from his father in-law, Mike Gray and in brother-in-law Preston Gray. As they both work in the Corrections Department for the State. We are very proud of you Brock and hope you will continue to enjoy your work and excel in achievement. Oh I almost forgot to say how dashingly handsome Brock looked in his dark blue uniform. Maybe I was just a proud mom but I thought he was very handsome and looked great.

Families

Kennedy and Anaston seemed to discover each other. They were fascinated by each other. It was so cute to watch. I can't help to reflect on what cousins and family have meant in my life. As a child I loved getting to tog
ether with my cousins. I find it hard to realize now that we never see each other and when we do we don't really know each other any more so it's distant to some degree. I wish we would of been closer over the years. I think of how much my grandparents meant to me growing up and how much I have missed them since they have been gone. I compare that to the deep love I have for the six grandchildren I have and wonder if I am getting a glimpse of the love our Heavenly Father must have for each of us. I can't comprehend the love of our Savior Jesus Christ but when I think of the love I have for my family then I think that maybe I can understand in some small way. I find it comforting to know that Heavenly Father loves me. I am so thankful for families and the support we can offer each other. It has been a fun treat to have adult nieces now that can also be like best friends. I love having you all a part of my life. My dream is that Anaston, Kennedy and Haven with all the little ones left to come will love this family bond as much as I have. I can't help but think that Heaven must be like the love of one big happy family.
